I thought I'd share a few of my favourite pieces for the folk that are unable to come to the exhibition...
Dish Pan Hands - vintage glove hangers, latex free gloves & carved words on porcelain pegs.
Constant Appetitie Bottomless Pit - hand carved vintage rolling pin.

Icing on the Cake - brass piping cones, metal limbs mounted on hardwood and plexiglass.
Icing on the Cake - detail.
Bad Hair Day I, II & III - old wooden Horsehair and Boar bristle dustpan brushes, metal limbs & porcelain flowers.
Bad Hair Day II - detail. (sold)
This Is Not A Vacuum Cleaner - vintage iron, protruding metal spears & wooden handles.
A big thank you to everyone that arranged to see me personally and my show, it has been a highlight spending quality time with you all. I will make myself available again, if anyone else wishes to have a one on one next week, and I will be in the gallery the last day Sunday 24th June from 1pm onwards.
So glad you shared your favourites from the show. Mine are the iron and the rolling pin.
ReplyDeleteHi Robyn, I have so many favourites in this exhibit - I'd have to say the iron is my all time favourite though.
DeleteHi K - sorry I have not been abler to get to any of the exhibitions lately but you have been busy. Quite a story you are telling through the the Domestic Duties pieces. I also love the iron. Go well. B
ReplyDeleteHi B, we've all missed you being at the openings too! Good to see your on the mend.
DeleteThanks for sharing these Kim as we haven't been up to doing much more than the basics lately. They all bring a sense of whimsy to the ongoing drudgery, so I'm sure a lot of people enjoyed those moments of lightness.
ReplyDeleteHi Fiona, best to take it slow, good to see B is coming along. The show has been well received and yes enjoying the moments of lightness.
